I have written about me on my home page to help you get an idea as to if I’m the right photographer for you. On here I wanted to write a bit about my faith and why it’s so important to me. My hope is that reading this you will get a glimpse of how important you are to God.
After saying “Yes” to Jesus and accepting Him as my Lord and Saviour (religious language for “my everything” basically), my whole body was filled with The Holy Spirit, and an overwhelming peace filled me which I’d never been abe to achieve via self help. The Holy Spirit also poured into me the love He has for humanity. This is where I get my love for people from (as being an introvert this doesn’t come naturally!). Once you receive The Holy Spirit, it is completely life changing.
He’s fully healed me of a horrid syndrome following prayer. I felt Him say to me “I have now fully healed you”, and since then I have been well!
I felt God wanted me to move up to Yorkshire from the Midlands for about 5 years.. I was living in Worcestershire when I met Ben, who was looking for other social work jobs around there. Ben was very good at being at his job, but all job interviews and avenues that he was trying in Birmingham and Worcs were being unusually denied for no apparent reason. I mentioned to Ben, “why don’t you try looking up north in Yorkshire?”. He applied for a job in York, travelled up to the interview, and 30 minutes after leaving, got a call saying that they are cancelling all the other interviews if he accepts the job. They also offered him a pay rise before he even started, and God also provided accommodation for us too.
When I first got Monty as a small puppy, he fell seriously ill after his vaccines. We took him straight to the vet and they called us after they had done blood tests etc saying that its not good news and we should be really prepared for the worst. We immediately fell on our knees in prayer and for a long while kept praying and asking God for his miraculous healing on Monty. Over time, the staff kept working on him, and when we got back to the vets, they told us he had taken an unusual turn and that his bloods were unusually good, they were really shocked! Needless to say, Monty recovered well and didn’t die as predicted.
I have many other stories to share which I will be posting on IG: @kingdombreakthroughuk .
Jesus says “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). God craves a real relationship with us; an intimate, daily, loving friendship, and we get that via Jesus alone.
He loves each and every one of us more than we could know, even though we constantly fall short of how He wants us to be (sin). In the old testament, people would portray/put their sin/shortfalls onto blameless animals (ie a young lamb) and sacrifice it to make them become ok with God again, and had to keep doing this regularly. However, when Jesus came, he became OUR sacrifice on the cross, and took all of our shortcomings and wrongdoings so that we can come blameless before God.
We can therefore have a free, and accessible relationship with God by:
Accepting Jesus - accepting that He came to Earth blameless, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again alive (John 3:16)
Asking for forgiveness for everything we’ve done wrong in Gods eyes (1 John 1:19)
By being baptised in water, and filled with the Holy Spirit (the part of the trinity which lives in us, teaches us and guides us) (Acts 2:38).
If you want to say ‘yes’ to Jesus, you can pray this prayer:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life, Amen.”
Do drop me a message if you have any questions or would like to chat about this :)
