Elopements (just the two of you), and micro weddings are becoming more and more popular…. here are just three reasons to consider this alternative and exciting way to tie the knot (there are many more which I’ll write about soon!):
QUALITY TIME - You get so much more quality time with your spouse in a micro or elopement wedding, as with bigger weddings you can often find yourself asking “wheres (insert name!) gone?!” many many times. Also, with micro weddings, there is a lot more time to spend with your nearest and dearest and actually have a decent conversation with them, rather than “hey, how are you? Oh good, ahhh i’ll catch you in a minute, hang on…” and then never being able to finish the conversation!
MONEY - With the continuous rising costs of living, mortgage and rental rates, food prices, fuel (you name it!), it’s becoming more apparent how expensive big weddings can be. This can be a huge factor in considering a smaller wedding or elopement. Also, if you have a beautiful and meaningful small wedding, it allows you to save for other things such as a gorgeous honeymoon, or even that deposit you need for your dream home!
ADVENTURE! - Having an elopement or micro wedding allows a far greater range of locations to tie the knot - especially if you get a celebrant as this opens up a whole host of options (like getting married on the Moors, in the Dales, in a sacred woodland, by a beautiful river, on the beach, you name it!)… It’s worth it, honest!
